What we liked
Construction
The ThOR 4 384 2-8x has an exceptionally solid construction but it’s also light weight for a thermal scope. Less weight allows you to go on longer hunts and it won't affect the accuracy of your shots. It’s a durable scope made from a hardened aluminum alloy with an impact resistant core.
Resolution
The thermal resolution on the THOR 4 384 thermal rifle scope 384x288 which provides you with sharp and vibrant images & videos. This is an upgrade that is a notable improvement to the THOR LT but the resolution is still less than the THOR 4 640.
Although the THOR 4 384 thermal rifle scope has a lower thermal resolution than the THOR 640, it still offers crisp clear images and videos at a lower price than the 640.
Note: the below images are web optimized images and the actual raw images are much clearer.

Color Palettes
ATN THOR’s 4 384 thermal scope has a wide range of color palettes to select from for all types of environments, some of the most popular are:
- Black Hot
- White Hot
- Green
- Red
Zoom Wheel
The Zoom wheel can be found on the left hand side of the scope and it’s a smooth mechanism that’s easy to use. You can easily zoom in or out quickly to locate your target.
Frontal Focus
The front focus wheel is a little tight so it can be difficult to adjust it. But we would prefer it to be a little tight as opposed to loose as it could rotate after shooting which require to readjust it frequently.
Accessories
One advantage of the ThOR 4 384 is that it comes with accessories that other brands don’t offer. With your ThOR 4 384 rifle scope you’ll receive the following additional items:
- Eyecup
- Standard rings
- L-Sharp ring
- Scope cover
- USB-C cable
- Lens cleaner

ATN ThOR 4 384 vs Pulsar Thermion XM38
An alternative product you can use is the Pulsar Thermion XM38. It has similar features to the ThOR 4 384 thermal scopes but at a higher price.
The refresh rate on the Pulsar Thermion XM38 is slightly lower (50Hz) than the THOR 4 384's 60Hz and it doesn’t have dual streaming, range finder, or Bluetooth. So if you’re looking for a more standard traditional thermal scope the Pulsar Thermion XM38 is the ideal product for you.

The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Specs:
- Pulsar Thermion XM38 has a resolution of 320x240 with a 12um pixel pitch core.
- Has a detection range of 1850 yards
- 8x digital zoom
- Optional external power supply
- Recoil activation
- Picture in picture digital zoom
Pulsar’s Thermion XM38 mounts perfectly to your rifle and doesn’t weigh your weapon down. It’s also a waterproof scope so you can hunt in any weather condition. It has 8 color palettes to select from and has 15 reticles in four colors.
The Pulsar Thermion isn’t as streamlined as the ATN ThOR 4 384 thermal scope and the functions aren’t as easy to navigate through. The Pulsar Thermion also doesn’t have the long battery life that the THOR 4 series offers unless you purchase the external battery pack.

The entire structure of the scope is solid and well built. It’s a smooth and sleek design with a shock proof casing. It’s weather resistant so you can hunt in any type of weather conditions.
