  • Flir Vue Pro 640 Thermal Imager Review

Last updated on September 17, 2022

The FLIR Vue 640 Pro is the upgraded version of the 640 that is designed with the professional in mind. Some of the biggest additions full data recording and 14bit still picture ability. You also can control two camera functions. The future MAVLink capability will allow for easy image stitching enabling easy mapping, survey and precision agriculture applications use. This camera is also compatibly with the Pix4Dmapper and has low power blue tooth module built in for easy configuration with the custom IOS or Android apps. The app allows you to change/modify all camera settings prior to take off ensuring you do not have to bring a computer with you to make changes. There is also a removable SD card where all data is recorded to so you don’t have to worry about data or transmission loss. This is a professional grade drone thermal camera with the right mix of features needed for business without any additional ones that may attract hobbyists. Please note that this camera is not exportable/sold in all countries. The only slight draw back to this model currently is the temperature range adjustments are not as adjustable as some customers would like. Hopefully a software update will correct this soon.
